Photography
Welcome
to my portfolio page. Hope you enjoy the photos of my clients. I have been photographing people and
events since 1999. I enjoy the one-on-one interaction and
always have fun getting to know the talent.
For
those of you who do not know me, I have been in the entertainment
industry since 1999 after leaving a very nice corporate career to
pursue my dream of producing and making people famous out of
Texas.
In my
pursuit of producing, I created Alamo
Heights S.A.,
a soap opera and executive produced a pilot
last year with a group of investors out of Houston, TX. We
were the first dramatic soap opera made for the the internet,
first soap opera produced in two languages, and first internet
soap opera that crossed over to television and the first soap
opera that featured a extremely wealthy "All American"
family of Hispanic descent. So we should make the
industry history books at some point.
This
year we are producing a full season of Alamo Heights S.A. and will be pushing to get it
to the next level. I have several other shows under
development which you can read more about at www.newmediatalent.com
Contrary
to popular belief, photography is hard work for both the
photographer and the model, but it is but a fun hobby for me... It gives me the means to
support my habit of trying to build a year round industry for the
people of Texas, so in turn, in the long run, many people will be
able to make a living in the entertainment industry in Texas. In
2008, I feel I am well on my way to making it happen.
My big goal is to build a studio lot between San Antonio and Austin that
will feed ongoing productions to the internet, mobile devices and
other emerging technology. If my programs cross over to
television, great. If they do not, we can still be successful with
the emerging technology. Lots of people will be made famous with
this new media.
And as pioneers in this new
frontier, I am in the process of building an on-line
channel/station/network to launch our original content on the
internet and build an audience. I am building relationships with
industry professionals out of New York and Los Angles that will help me
meet my goals. I currently have Roy Steinberg from the directing
team of Days of Our Lives ready to come down and direct Alamo Heights
SA. I have two EMMY Award winning writers and winners of several
Writers Guild of America Awards, Matt and Eleanor Labine who have written
for General Hospital, One Life to Live and Ryan's Hope, preparing to write
our first season. Our hometown talent, Jesse Borrego is jumping on
board as a director. And the editors for Robert Rodriguez and
Quentin Tarantino will be editing our show.
I like
to build relationships with my future talent during our photo
session. It gives us a chance to spend time together and talk
about their goals and aspirations. I am looking to work with people
who are as committed to getting the industry moving in Texas as
I am. As the saying goes, "the power of the group
exceeds the power of the individual". Pursue your dream
with a vengeance, and I'll pursue mine so we can build
the industry together in Texas!
If you are in the
entertainment industry, especially if you are a model, I recommend
setting up photo shoots with several photographers throughout the
year. Each photographer has different equipment and a
different "eye" and will certainly capture a different
side of you.
Also it is important that you keep the same look that
you are promoting in your, marketing material, as that is what the producers
will expect should they call you for an audition. If you
change your look, make sure you set up a photo session with your
photographer and update your marketing material on the web, in
print...
Good luck, and I hope to work with you soon.
